Desi is about 2 years old, a male Shepherd/Husky mix.    This young man has pale blue eyes and loves his human companions.   At approximately 60 pounds, he's healthy and a happy boy.  Desi will need someone who can offer consistent reinforcement in his obedience training.  He would likely do best as the only dog, but gets along with kids and cats.

Emmett is an adult male, Chihuahua/Jack Russell Mix.   His name means Industrious, and that he is.  He's a spunky guy with lots of energy.  Emmett would do best in a home where he's exercised and allowed to explore his curiosities.  Besides, he's a little sweet heart of a guy.

Star is a Momma dog from TJ that came with 7 puppies. Coronado vet fostered her and the puppies and have placed all of them in new homes. The only one left is Star. She is a 1 to 2 year old Manchester terrier mix F/S Black and Tan. She has an old injury to one of her front legs but gets along on it just fine. She loves to play ball and should probably be in an only dog home

Katie is a DSH mixed-color tabby cat, about one year old and female.  Presently in foster care, this young lady gets along with the resident cats and dog.  Curious in nature, she likes to be where the action is.  This little miss is shy to strangers but her need to know brings her into the mix.  This sweet girl will keep your newspaper warm while you look for your crossword dictionary.  Katie is spayed and healthy, current on all her shots.

Scarlett is an adult female Calico, DSH.  She was found as a stray at the Coronado Golf Course.  This little lady is quiet but warms to gentle loving.  Leah is healthy, spayed, and current on her shots.

Doogie is a male bright orange Tabby, short-haired.  This boy is a regular Rudolph Valentino.  He's Mr. Social and loves   human companionship.  He's healthy, neutered and up to date on shots.  It's likely, he'll fit into any loving household.

Lilac is an adult Russian Blue cat.  She's got a sleek body style with a short grayish-blue coat.  Lilac was used to sharing a home with another cat, but her owner turned ill.  This girl is friendly, a little cautious starting out, but all purrs when she gets to know you.

Chuck is a adult male, tan/black, short-haired tabby.  He's a regular kind of guy, with a mellow mood.  This boy is good company and a healthy, happy feline.

Cosmo is an adult Russian Blue male.  He's gorgeous and a sweet boy too.  This fellow is friendly with other cats

.

Orion is a male, one of three kittens available from the same litter.  He's fluffy and all white except for a hint of a black blaze on top of his head.  Besides absolutely gorgeous, he's healthy, playful and having a ball with is siblings who need homes as well.

Miss Nova is one of three kittens available from this litter.  She is petite, all white, medium hair length with a hint of a black blaze on the top of her head.  These kittens are a blast.  Energetic, fun and just plain good company, they will brighten any household.

Zara was born Apr 15, 2009.  Miss Zara is a female, black and white, Tuxedo kitten.  Though they are still with their mama cat, she and her brother Lenny are ready to start their own lives.   They can be adopted separately or together.

Adoption Options

An adoption option usually happens when a family can no longer take care of their pet and want to find it a good, new home. These owners are usually attached to their dogs and don't want to place their dog at a shelter where they don't have control over where the dog is placed. We have provided space on this website for these owners to advertise their dogs, so they have a free way to find good homes and don't have to use their local shelter as a placement service.

In these cases, PAWS of Coronado has not evaluated the dog's health, condition, temperament or behavior - we may not have met the dog or its current owners. You must ask questions of the owner and try to meet the dog before the adoption so you can evaluate the dog's temperament and condition.

Furby is a 4 year old male PeekaPoo (part Pekingese, part Poodle).  He has a summer cut on his coat, but one picture will reveal his long-haired persona.  This boy is attentive, loving and a fun companion.  He enjoys his walks, bacon-flavored snacks and fresh air.  He feels the need to prove himself around other dogs, so prefers to be the only dog in the family.

Please call 733-6499 for further information about Furby.

Chuey is a 5 year old female Golden Retriever.  Ever faithful to her master, she's a good companion dog.  Having successfully completed obedience school, this sweet girl shows she has manners.  Because Chuey is inclined to assume the Alpha female role, she doesn't warm up to just any dog.  Additionally, she's best suited for households with older children.  Once meeting her, you'll see what a sweetheart she is, beautiful and very loyal.  Presently, she is with her family until adoption placement is made available.

Contact Jan at 435-2519 for further information about Chuey.
