Adoption Options
An adoption option usually happens when a
family can no longer take care of their pet and want to find it a good,
new home. These owners are usually attached to their dogs and don't want
to place their dog at a shelter where they don't have control over where
the dog is placed. We have provided space on this website for these owners
to advertise their dogs, so they have a free way to find good homes and
don't have to use their local shelter as a placement service.
In these cases, PAWS of Coronado has not
evaluated the dog's health, condition, temperament or behavior - we may
not have met the dog or its current owners. You must ask questions of
the owner and try to meet the dog before the adoption so you can evaluate
the dog's temperament and condition.
