PAWS Programs

PAWS of Coronado announces a new program, "A Litter Free Coronado" to reduce the unwanted cat population here in Coronado.  This spay and neuter program is available to all cats residing within the city of Coronado.  If you own a cat or are a caretaker of a stray/feral cat that needs to be spayed or neutered and the cost of this procedure has prevented you from doing so, please contact Louise, the PAWS program coordinator at 619-435-8247.  Leave your name and telephone number, and mention that "Litter Free Coronado" program.  The PAWS program coordinator will return your call as soon as possible and ask you a few simple questions to verify eligibility for the program.  Proof of residency is required.  If qualified, a voucher good for one spay or neuter will be sent to you at no cost.  These services will be provided by one of tow veterinary clinics: Coronado Veterinary Hospital or Crown Veterinary Hospital.  Within sixty days of receiving the voucher, the cat may be taken to the assigned veterinary hospital for the spay/neuter procedure.

One of the mission statements of PAWS of Coronado is to encourage spay and neuter programs.  With the cooperation of these two wonderful veterinary hospitals working with PAWS, it is our hope that Coronado's population of unwanted kittens will be reduced.
