Molly a Cat for Adoption

Molly a brown tabby cat for adoption

Is being a turn key cat a good thing?

That is the question Miss Molly asked the other day when she over heard us talking about her to a potential adopter.

When we told her that of course it was a good thing, she asked, “Then why did they leave without me?”

We have no good answer for the delightful Miss Molly. No one who has met Molly can understand why she hasn’t been snatched up by someone looking for the purrfect cat.

Molly originally came to the ACF with her sister Mia (who has been adopted) when they were left outside of the Coronado Police Department in a box sealed with tape.

The note left on the box said that the family had lost their home and could no longer care for the cats. They had tried to find them a home with no luck and had been told by a local shelter that they could pay to have them killed.

Molly was obviously loved by her people – she is too loving and social not to have been.

Molly is truly a “turn key” cat without a single negative attribute. She is affectionate and gentle. Being very calm she is not easily rattled. Still young, she loves to play and will interactively play with you or toss a cat toy in the air to entertain herself. She is good with all of the other cats that have come into her room and doesn’t seem to mind the dogs that walk by.

In addition to pets, brushing and playtime, Molly loves treats (even healthy ones) and catnip. But one of her favorite things is a good belly rub! If you sit down on the floor she will come over, allorub you and then flop down beside you so that you can give her a nice long belly rub.

Molly is a pretty cat too with her cinnamon nose, green eyes and dark tabby markings. The white fur that starts on her chin extends down to her chest and belly where the fur is very wavy.

If you are looking for the purrfect feline companion, Molly may just be the girl cat for you!

Molly is currently in a foster home to give her a break from facility living. You can make arrangements to meet Molly by calling Bob at 619-840-9727.
