Puff the calico cat for adoption made her television debut this morning on the KUSI Adopt a Pet segment.
Prior to being loaded into the pet stroller for the ride to the television station, Puff needed a good morning hug and snuggle. This cat gives the absolute best kitty hugs!
Once we got to KUSI, Puff sat and soaked up some sun while we waited for out turn in front of the camera. Before the anchor woman came out, Puff wasn’t too keen on sitting on the beautiful blanket we had brought for her, so the camera man suggested I hold her for her interview.
She placed both paws on either side of my neck and held on tight. She alternated between pushing her head into my neck and lifting her head to look around.
After her debut. I placed her down on the blanket and she was as content as could be! We let her sit for awhile just enjoying the fresh air and change of scenery.
Miss Molly, our wonderful brown tabby cat for adoption was featured on the KUSI Adopt a Pet segment this morning.

This year’s Study Buddy Adoption Eventwas held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 11:00 am to 3:00pm.
In addition to all of the wonderful PAWS volunteers, Furry Fosters was on hand to support PAWS and to educate people about the opportunity to foster orphaned cats and dogs.
And of course, there were the cats and dogs!
The cats alternated between being walked in the pet strollers, playing in the cat cabanas or kitty tunnel and walking on a leash.
The dogs were perfectly behaved on their leashes and even sat side by side with the kittens.
Enjoy a short video of the day ~
Calling All Cat Walkers!
Our Summer volunteers are returning to college and as a result, we have several openings for cat walkers for the PAWS of Coronado Cat Stroller Program.
Cats and kittens currently available for adoption are walked once a day from 12:30pm to 1:30pm in one of our five pet strollers.
Which cats and kittens are walked is up to the choice of the cat walker. Although they must choose from the list of cats and kittens approved for the program and we ask that each week as many felines as possible get a turn
Cat walkers should be comfortable loading the felines into the stroller, making sure they are secure during the walk, talking to people they meet while walking and promoting the animals and PAWS of Coronado. And getting your picture taken – lots of people stop the cat walkers and ask to take a picture!
Occasionally, several of the cat walkers join forces and hold a min adoption event where the cats take turns being strolled and having play time in the cat cabanas and kitty tunnel.
If you are interested in volunteering for the Cat Stroller Program, please complete the form below and someone will be in touch with you.
Thank you for you interest in helping the cats and kittens find homes!
Some of the PAWS of Coronado kittens for adoption are having a meet-up tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, 07/21/12.
They would love it if you would come join them, get to know them and maybe find the purrfect kitten to take home with you
You can meet the kittens at the Coronado Ferry Landing between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. They will be frolicking in their cat cabana, having races in their kitty tunnel and playing with the volunteer cat care givers.
Volunteers will be happy to answer any of your questions and to introduce the kittens to you.
For this special meet-up the kitten adoption fees are being lowered from $195.00 per kitten to just $50.00 for one kitten and $25.00 for a second kitten going to the same home.
All kittens have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccines and have been microchipped.
Come on down and join the Kitten Meet-Up! We all look forward to seeing you there!
PS There is a special Saturday concert at the Ferry Landing from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, so you can enjoy some entertainment while you are spending time with the kittens.
