Freeway: A Dog Adopted

freeway: a dog adopted

Little Freeway, weighing slightly over three pounds, was found on the Coronado Bridge during rush hour.  A kind lady saw him, circled around, picked him up and brought him to the ACF.  Fortunately a staffer was working late and able to take him in.  We simply cannot imagine how frightened he was.  He barely made a peep the short time he was with us.  His big eyes did seem to say that life had been rough for him.

A lady from Escondido saw him on the website.  She came in with Rodney, the cutest Pomeranian you ever saw.  The two pups got along and the adoption was done.

My usual thanks to all for the good care and attention to this little one.    Freeway is now Oliver and his new Mom sent the following e-mail and the picture above:

“Oliver is doing so great in his new home.  He is already engaging in play with his new ‘big’ brother Rodney …  He loves going to the dog park and playing with other small dogs.  Every day he gains more independence, playfulness, and overall ease with his new surroundings.  I feel so blessed to have this little guy become part of our family.  Thank you PAWS of Coronado! ”
