Strolling with the Cats!
This weekend, PAWS had their own booth outside of the Coronado Flower Show, and I helped out and strolled with the cats. Which cats you say? Smoki, Eve, Freckles, Diamond and Snow White. We had a blast taking turns strolling around the park!
Smoki would greet passerbys with a friendly hello and mesmerized a lot of people with her beautiful green eyes! She would talk to me about what caught her eye on our walks and loved looking at everything! Although she did not get adopted this weekend, I am sure she will be able to find a loving home soon! Smoki is such a sweet girl!
Eve was on cloud nine getting so much attention as well. She was like a queen in her chariot! At first Eve was a little uneasy in the stroller if she wasn’t getting attention from passerbys, but I maintained a strolling speed fit for a queen, and she calmed down and welcomed people to greet her and say hello. They all loved her little grey ears and her beautiful coat. Hopefully Eve will find a loving home soon!
Freckles, our all white male, had a wonderful time in the stroller while giving a little educational experience to on lookers. He recently had surgery for the removal of the tips of his ears. The reason being is because Freckles had sunburned ears and to prevent skin cancer, they removed the tips of his ears as a safety precaution. Freckles still got a lot of love from people and was even mistaken as a Scottish Fold! I am sure he will find a home soon!
Diamond, our Pet of the Week, had a wonderful walk and enjoyed all of the attention she was getting. She got a lot of compliments for her whiskers and how timid she was in the stroller. When anyone would stop us and say hello, Diamond girl would meow, “Hello!” right back and would brush up against the netting of the stroller for a pet. Diamond was such a hit on our walk, she got adopted today! I am so happy our stroll in the park got her a new home!
Snow White got so much attention on our stroll as well. Her eyes captivated everyone who would stop us and say hello and they all loved her beautiful white coat and her quiet meow she would greet them with. Snow White would also give love back by trying to get pets when she would rub up against the netting of the stroller. She was treated like the princess she was named after! Snow White got so much love and attention, she was also adopted today! She finally got a loving home she was longing for.
It was great letting our cats get fresh air and be around people in a safe environment. The cat stroller really caught peoples eyes and even got two of our cats adopted. I am sure that if we attend more events like the Flower Show or even letting our cats get out of the ACF to get some fresh air, they will surely get adopted and find loving homes!
