A Foster Home for Baby Doll

Miss Baby DollBaby Doll is our 15 years young Maine Coon cat who is looking for a foster home. She was with one family all of her life and was recently given up because her family was moving and would not take her with them.

Baby Doll is very friendly and says “Hello!” to anyone who looks at her and when you actually go into her room, she will allorub, give you head butts, and will talk to you about her day.

Being a red and white Maine Coon mix, she has a great personality and you would never guess that she is 15 years old. She is still very playful and has no real health issues other than a thyroid issue that can be controlled with inexpensive medicines. She still has many years left to give you love, for indoor cats have an estimated lifespan in their early 20′s.

Baby Doll will bring much love to who ever will foster or adopt her. We would prefer a foster to adopt, for she has been so used to having a home for so long that the ACF is a very new environment for her. Being an easy going gal, she will adapt to her new home very well and quickly.

Is Baby Doll the cat for you? Come on by and visit her, she will surely win you over!

Baby Doll is taking visitors at the ACF located at 1395 First Street in Coronado with hours of operation between 9 AM and 4 PM every day but major holidays. If you would like to visit some of the Friendliest Paws in all of San Diego, you can visit our websites, pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com. All our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on their immunizations prior to their adoption.

BC the Cat Needs Our Help to Find a New Home!

BC on BedBC is a Tonkinese mix Baby Boomer cat that joined us in the Spring of 2012 after he was relinquished by his family. BC had a difficult time adjusting to the new environment of the ACF after losing his home and his humans, but he still showed some of his Tonkinese personality traits of being a really super affectionate and nuzzled into you for comfort.

Other Tonk personality traits include being very intelligent, curious, being very confident and happy  with a sense of humor. Additionally, Tonks also love to be around children and dogs, they hate to be alone.

This past June, a woman came to the ACF and fell in love with BC immediately. She took him home and they created a family unit filled with love.

Now BC is facing another predicament of losing his home again. His Mom is moving out of state to move in with her son and daughter-in-law to help with their two children and their unborn twins.

Her family has made it adamant that she cannot bring BC with her…

We are desperately asking for help- for BC has to leave his Mom’s home at the end of the month. She has been trying to find a home for him, but has not been able to find one for him as of yet.

BC is a wonderful cat that has a bunch of wonderful qualities to make a great companion. He is gentle and has a very loving soul who will bring love and joy to your home for many years to come.

If you have any interest in adopting or fostering BC, please let us know and please spread the word to all of your family and friends. BC is a Coronado cat who needs the support of the community.

It takes a village to save a cat…

If you have any questions or want to meet BC, please contact the Cat Adoption Team online or call at 619-840-9727.

We thank you & BC will thanks you too!

A Special Plea for Mace

Mace StaresWe all know that Mace is a big cuddle bug with his sweet little meow he gives to you when you visit him at the ACF. When he first arrived at the facility he first weighed around 15 pounds.

Being at the facility has affected him emotionally and he has been overeating because of the stress of the new environment he has had to get used to- Mace now weighs 20 pounds.

We are desperately looking for a foster home for Mace to help him with his diet and to also help with the portion control of his food. This loving cat really needs your help. At 9 years young, Mace has plenty of living left to do.

If you would like to foster Mace, please follow this link to our volunteer page.

Foster Home Needed for One Adorable Puppy

Look at this precious little face!  Cassie is a 12 week old brown and white pit bull terrier mix puppy. The ACF has many dogs in house right now and it would be ideal for little Cassie to be in a foster home until she is 16 weeks old when she can get her shots, be spayed, etc. and be put up for adoption.  If you are interested, contact the Dog Adoption Team at dogadoptions@pawsofcoronado.org or call Karen Dwinell at  619-437-0220

Socializing Simon

Simon's EyesOur Simon is a Seal Point Ragdoll that is estimated to be around 8 years old. He had been living under an apartment for at least 6 months and has been pretty shut down after his trauma. He is still wary of humans and we would like him to be in a loving environment in a foster home to try and help him get socialized again.

It may take some time to get him socialized, but our the Cat Adoption Team is willing to give guidelines and tips about socializing a cat to anyone who is willing to foster Simon. He has the potential to be a great companion, he just needs a little help with his confidence and a gentle heart to help him along the way.

If you would like to foster Simon, please contact Bob, the head of the Cat Adoption Team at 619-840-9727 or complete the online Cat Foster Application.

Thank you for helping us to save Simon’s life!
